The first Federal Budget by the Turnbull Government was delivered by Treasurer Scott Morrison on Tuesday 3 May 2016. He has stated that this is a “national economic plan”, to be delivered by focusing on three key actions:
- Sticking to the Government’s plans for jobs and growth;
- Fixing special problems in the tax system (including major superannuation reforms); and
- Continuing to ensure the Government lives within its means.
